Compassionate Insight & Empowered Skill Building

Take The First Step

How I Support You

Focus

I work individually and in groups with youth (16+) and adults who feel overwhelmed & overstimulated, stuck in autopilot patterns, or disconnected from themselves and their relationships. I support people using trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming therapy that integrates emotional processing with practical behavioural change.

In therapy, we explore the deeper patterns that shaped these struggles while building practical skills for nervous system wellness, emotional regulation, communication & connection, and boundary-setting. My goal is to help clients develop self-trust, self-compassion, and the confidence to create lives that feel meaningful and aligned with who they truly are.

Approach

The way I choose and work with therapeutic approaches is always wholistic, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, strength-focused, queer-allied, and neurodiversity-affirming.

Your therapy should fit you. This is why I blend evidence-based approaches like ACT with the warmth and flexibility of Person-Centered and Strength-Based support. I weave in Mindfulness, Narrative, and Interpersonal techniques to help you connect more deeply with yourself and others, while honouring your unique life story. Together, I hope to create a space where growth feels safe and empowering.

Method

Generally, therapy with me can go something like this:

Acknowledging the Overwhelm

People come to therapy feeling low or anxious, responsible for too much, ignoring their needs,
disconnected, stuck and unsure how to change

Deeper Understanding
Working together, people begin to understand their patterns and story,

how their environment influences them, recognize emotional blocks,

and see how wounding experiences may have shaped their behaviours.

Building Compassion & Skills
With a deeper understanding, people begin to treat themselves with kindness,
accept and express themselves and their needs, and reduce shame.

Empowerment & Action

People start to feel more comfortable practicing setting boundaries, meaningful communication,
pursuing sustainable habits and goals, and trusting themselves.

Together We Grow

Working Together is What We're Made to Do

In nature, there are many examples of two beings working together to achieve something that neither of them could have done alone. The phenomenon is called symbiosis, and my favourite example is lichen. Lichen is a 400-million-year-old agreement between a plant cell and a fungal cell to protect and nourish each other.

Humans do this cool thing called co-regulation, where we feed off each other's signals (heart rate, body language, etc.) to create safety, stability, and opportunities to learn and grow. This happens naturally, but we can consciously calm ourselves to help calm someone we care about.

Therapy is an environment and a relationship where you can explore difficult thoughts and feelings with another human (me, the therapist) who helps you feel safe and supported. Practicing feeling uncomfortable in a familiar and safe relationship helps us feel protected and nourished in the messier parts of our lives so that we may show up the way we want to more often.
